Marie Marzloff was the Deputy Director at CESIE and Head of the HR and the International Cooperation Departments.
She arrived in Palermo in 2004, where her curiosity and dedication to discovering the local reality led her to work for the European Voluntary Service. From the very beginning, Marie has been promoting initiatives related to gender equality and intercultural dialogue. One of the most active and convinced supporters of CESIE’s work and mission, Marie constantly contributed to the centre’s growth and its successful performance on both European and international levels. This contest pays tribute to Marie’s memory. It aims to continue even further on her path by using her passion for bringing her ideas to life: relying on the universal language of art to promote intercultural dialogue so that it becomes a means of communication and education. Anyone lucky enough to have worked with her has benefitted from a unique learning experience leading to new horizons and possibilities. Marie always knew to give a piece of advice to dispel all doubts and to help find ideas and unusual solutions.
Marie was the energy, driving force and soul of CESIE.
We wish her curiosity and ability to combine ideas from different places will continue to inspire others.
